What to do if you think you have Brown Recluse

Brown Recluse Spiders In Northern Alabama we have no shortage of spiders, fortunately many spiders are beneficial and pose little to no threat to our health and safety. While most spiders don’t pose any serious threat to humans, in our area we have a few that give us reason for concern. For many people, first on their […]

Termites Responding to the attractant in our bait stations

Normally when we go to check one of our termite bait stations, if there is activity we see a few mud tubes, and maybe a couple of termites out running around inside of the station. At a home earlier this week, when we were checking our stations, we found this! One of the great things […]

Hornets, Wasps, and Dirt Daubers

After the much colder and longer than normal winter, I am about as excited as anyone for this warm weather to be here! For me the warm weather means grilling with family and friends, the smell of fresh-cut lawn, camping with the Scouts, and lots of fun! Unfortunately with the heat we also get a sharp increase in the […]

Termites taking bait from bait station

Termites taking bait

Have you ever wondered how a termite baiting program works? At Scout Pest Control we use the most modern processes and proven techniques to eliminate active termite infestations, and even help prevent future infestations.

Using a termite baiting system allows us to target Termites with little to no impact to non-target species! That means it’s safer to have around your family and home.

There are a wide variety of options when it comes to baiting for termites. We have chosen to use the Exterra Termite Interception and Baiting program. It offers a greater degree of flexibility over older stations commonly found in use, and its design avoids interrupting termites normal feeding behavior when adding more bait to the station. It is also one of the largest stations on the market, and as such it has the capacity to eliminate more termites with fewer stations.

If you are interested in starting a termite control and prevention program, or are considering switching from your old termite baiting system to a more effective one, Give us a call and see the difference for yourself!
